The official name of the watchmaker Gin is Sinn Spezialuhren (Gin Special Watch Company).

In 1961, Helmut Zinn, a pilot and flight instructor of the German military, started to make watches for pilots under his own name.

He began making watches based on three principles: “the best watches at the lowest cost”, “high quality with the best functionality and legibility”, and “offering value through direct marketing without extensive advertising”.

The brand has been very popular among the people who are familiar with it.

There was a time when it was actually delivered to the German air force, and it was used in the space shuttle mission in the 90’s. The diver model is still used in the GSG9.

Even today, the Diver model is actually used by GSG9 (German Special Forces Against Terrorism) and the firefighting and rescue units.

B series is the iconic model of the brand.

With excellent legibility and a very simple design, it is a very practical chronograph.

It has a black bezel with bi-directional rotation, which is reminiscent of the 155 model that was formally adopted by the German Air Force in the 60s.

SINN 103.B.AUTO.SA, only 200 pieces were sold around 2006.

The watch has a matte black dial with white indexes, whereas the standard model has a white dial with black indexes.

There are a few watches from other brands that have black in-dials, known as “pandas”, but this design is quite rare, as both are white.

The movement is based on the Valjoux 7750 and the rotor is decorated with the Côtes de Genève.

The bracelet is a three-strand system with a double-locking buckle.

About Complete Service
Complete service, sometime called overhaul is the work of disassembling a mechanical product down to its individual parts, cleaning and reassembling it to bring it closer to its new state of performance.

Roughly speaking, the overhaul procedure is as follows.
1. Separate into case and movement
2. Disassemble the movement
3. Inspection and pre-cleaning of wear condition of each part
4. Wash parts with a special machine
5. Lubrication and assembly
6. Waterproof test
7. Final adjustment and running test.

Some movements are made up of hundreds of parts, but it is a very meticulous process of disassembling them one by one, inspecting them all, cleaning them, and reassembling them.

If you don't overhaul, the oil will deteriorate just like a car, and the risk of wear and damage to parts increases, causing a decrease in accuracy and, in severe cases, not working.

There is also the reason that it will be very expensive to replace parts after they are found to be damaged, so we recommend overhauling once every 2-3 years for economical and long-term use.
