The Datejust is Rolex's representative automatic watch. Its distinctive appearance makes it a watch that is easily recognizable to anyone.
The "Datejust mechanism," which instantly changes the date at midnight, is considered one of Rolex's three major inventions along with the "Oyster case" and the automatic "Perpetual mechanism," and the Datejust is a model that can be said to be a culmination of all of them.
Ref.16014 was introduced around 1977 and produced until 1988. It is the successor to the 4-digit reference 1601, and while it retains elements such as the dial design and plexi crystal, the movement has been updated to Cal.3035.
It has a moderate vintage feel and is highly practical, so it is a reference that is easy to recommend as a vintage watch that can be used daily.
The dial is a very rare cream-colored "boiler gauge" dial. As the name suggests, it is known by this name because it resembles the design of a pressure gauge.
The applied Arabic indexes and the scale printed on the inside of the dial create a unique design.
The base cream color is also very glossy, and a major feature is that it looks like porcelain. Both the dial and the hands are luminous with tritium, and you can see that they have aged moderately over time.
The bracelet comes with an Oyster Jubilee bracelet 62510H. The length can be adjusted up to 17cm.

Complete service, sometime called overhaul is the work of disassembling a mechanical product down to its individual parts, cleaning and reassembling it to bring it closer to its new state of performance.
Roughly speaking, the overhaul procedure is as follows.
1. Separate into case and movement
2. Disassemble the movement
3. Inspection and pre-cleaning of wear condition of each part
4. Wash parts with a special machine
5. Lubrication and assembly
6. Waterproof test
