-Description
Rolex Cellini is distinguished by its elegant design, eschewing the iconic Oyster case that Rolex is best known for. The name "Cellini" is derived from Benvenuto Cellini, a renowned 16th-century Italian Renaissance sculptor.
Although it is less well-known than the Oyster case dress line and sports models such as the Datejust, it has a long history and was created in 1928.
Cellini is the only one in the Rolex collection that bears the name of a specific person, giving it a unique position.
This reference 3833 is a dress watch has a very classic design with a round case and straight lugs. It was manufactured around 1970.
The case is made of 18K yellow gold. Although it is a gold case, the edges are narrow and it is very thin, so the watch does not stand out too much and can be thought of as a piece of jewelry.
The polished and hairline finishes are carefully selected, and it is clear that this is a very elaborate piece of work. In particular, the back side has a very complex finish that combines three types of finishes: vertical hairlines, polished, and radial hairlines, so please check out the photos.
The dial is a combination of a white dial and printed Roman indexes. It is a dial with a stronger sense of style compared to the simple sunburst finish.
The slender baton hands are black to match the indexes, giving the impression that at first glance it is not obvious that this is a Rolex watch.
The movement is a manual-wind Cal.1600. It is a thin movement that is robust and easy to maintain, and is used not only in Cellini watches but also in ladies' models.
It comes with genuine inner box and Rolex singed gold plated buckle.

Due to Washington Convention, we cannot export Crocodile/Alligator/Lizard leather overseas.
We will replace the strap with a similar strap made of calf leather as an alternative.
Or we will send the watch without strap if we don't have stocks of them.

オーバーホールについて
オーバーホール(Overhaul)とは機械製品を部品単位まで分解して清掃、再組み立てを行い、新品時の性能状態に近づける作業のことです。
オーバーホールの手順として大まかに説明すると、
1.ケースとムーブメントに分ける
2.ムーブメントを分解する
3.各部品の消耗具合の点検・予備洗浄
4.専用の機械で洗浄
5.注油・組み立て
6.防水検査 (防水機能が保証されるもの)
7.調整・ランニングテスト
という流れで行われます。
ムーブメントによっては数百の部品で構成されますが、それらを1個単位まで分解し全てを点検し洗浄して再度組み立てるという非常に緻密な作業です。
オーバーホールをしないと、車と同じようににオイルが劣化し部品の摩耗や破損のリスクが高まり、精度の低下や重症の場合は動かないという事態を引き起こします。
部品の破損が見つかってから交換すると非常に費用が嵩むという理由もありますので経済的かつ長くお使い頂くためにも、2-3年に一度のオーバーホールを推奨しています。
ポリッシュ(研磨/新品仕上げ)について
ヴィンテージウォッチは何十年と使用されてきており、多くの時計に使用されるステンレスでも本来角が立っていた部分が丸みを帯びてきたり、鏡面仕上げが美しいはずが小キズが多く入っているという状態になってしまいます。

特にゴールドケースのドレスウォッチは貴金属ケースの良さを最大限に引き出す意味でも仕上げを施しています。
アルビトロで販売している時計で新品仕上げを施したものは非常に高精細で撮影しているためエッジが立っている、鏡面仕上げによって光が反射しているのがお分かり頂けるかと思います。
また、ケースやブレスレットによっては鏡面仕上げとヘアライン仕上げなど複数の仕上げが混合しているものもありますが、それらをきっちりと区別して高いレベルで仕上げることが出来る職人は多くはありません。
また、「ケースの痩せ」に関しても職人の腕に非常に左右される部分です。痩せてラグが細くなってしまった時計は本来のデザインからは遠くなり、見た目のバランスが悪くなってしまいます。
ケースの痩せを極限まで減らしながらキズや凹みを無くし、本来の仕上げに近付ける非常に緻密な作業です。
勿論、その時計のこれまでの歴史として、またオリジナルコンディションを重視するという意味でそのままの状態でお使い頂くのが良い場合もあります。
1つ1つの時計を見て、仕上げを施すのが良いかを判断した上で販売を行っています。
